Montepulciano Sole

It coveres a total area of 2,2 ha (hectares). Is located at an elvation of 50m over the sea level. South oriented, enjoy an excellent sun esxposure. The coultivated variety is Montepulciano, planted in 1989. The training method is the traditional cordon spur, with a medium-density of about 3.000 plants/ha. The quality of the soil and the constant operations of defoliation, thinning and bounches selection, allow a perfect accumulation of sugars inside the berries. The grapes produced in these conditions, will be rich in anthocyanins, tannins and polyphenols in general. Pefect to give life, during the great seasons, to a full-bodied wine, may to evolve in Rovere barrels for a long time: this is Moresco wine.
